San Antonio / ND Trip

It was a really quick and fun trip. It started out in Houston with your Uncle Daniel, Aunt Sheila, your cousin, Annelise, Grandpa and Grandma. Mommy had to go to class one of the days so we decided to go have fun at Pump it Up. You and Annelise both a blast, too bad mommy couldn't go. Then it was off to San Antonio for the Notre Dame game. Your first ND game and their first home game away from home. It was a blow out win, which daddy needed after 6 straight weeks of too close to call games. On our last day we a quick spin around the river walk and breezed through the Alamo. You thought they had a great gift shop. The best part of all is that you were so good on the whole trip, in the car and at the game! The doggies missed us too and Rudy was ready to get going!

Sick All Week

This week you have been running a fever just about all week and I think getting pretty sick off it. Mama has been off all week taking caring of you, but both are getting house crazy. You called me today at work saying "dada, home" and Emily sent this picture. Just a few more hours and I'll be home for the weekend!

It Won't Be Like This For Long

As you are starting to grow up and no longer a little baby, I heard this song on the radio after I dropped you off from daycare...just reminds me a lot of where we are at right now and not wanting to see you get too old =)

He didnt have to wake up
He'd been up all nite
Lay'n there in bed listen'n
To his new born baby cry
He makes a pot of coffee
He splashes water on his face
His wife gives him a kiss and says
Its gonna be OK

It wont be like this for long
One day soon we'll look back laugh'n
At the week we brought her home
This phase is gonna fly by
So baby just hold on
It wont be like this for long

Four years later bout four thirty
She's crawling in their bed
And when he drops her off at preschool
She's clinging to his leg
The teacher peels her off of him
He says what can I do
She says now dont you worry
This will only last a week or two

It wont be like this for long
One day soon we'll drop her off
And she wont even know your gone
This phase is gonna fly by
If you can just hold on
It wont be like this for long

One day soon she'll be a teenager
And at times you'll think she hates him
Then he'll walk her down the aisle
And he'll raise her vail
But right now shes up and cry'n
And the truth is that he dont mind
As he kisses her goodnight
And she says her prayers
He lays down there beside her
Til her eyes are finally closed
And just watch'n her it breaks his heart
Cause he already knows
It wont be like this for long
One day soon that little girl is gonna be
All grown up and gone
Yeah this phase is gonna fly by
It wont be like this for long

HAPPY BIRTHDAY // State Fair 2009

HAPPY BIRTHDAY for real now. Today you blessed us with your presence and we've enjoyed every minute of it. We can't wait to see what year 3 will bring us! Well we made it through a day at the fair It was hotter than your trips to the zoo earlier this summer! Your cousins Madison and Lauren went with you and you had a blast. You loved the lemonade and ice cream but the best part of all was getting a ride on Top Hat!

Happy Birthday Party

Yesterday, we had your 2nd Birthday party! You had a blast of course -- so many people came to see you, even Farmer Louis A and Aunt Wyoma. The highlight definitely was your Elmo balloon and your new baby. Although I think you really like all your new toys and have been putting your table and chair to good use. Today will be another first for you -- your first trip to the great state fair of OK. Hopefully they havent packed up all the animals yet. 1 more day and you'll be 2 -- can you believe it! Mama and Dadda cant, that's for sure!

It's time to go to church

Its been a pretty fun week for Hannah. This week we found out that you're going to be a big sister! Mommy and Daddy are pretty excited. Yesterday we spent all day in Watonga watching Lauren's softball tournament which you thought was pretty fun and were really good all day. You've started saying new things everyday, like "No don't want it" and "Hannah too". Today was your first trip to the donut store with daddy. You were pretty excited and thought every donut was "Hannah donut".

Today should be pretty fun. We are going to the Oklahoma Science Museum (Omniplex) and the large consignment fair for baby clothes at the state fair grounds. These were all mom's ideas, dad just wanted to go the zoo again...
